4th Of July In The Rockies
Looking for a guaranteed blast this 4th of July? Here’s the low down for your area of the Front Range:
On the 3rd:
*Sky Sox Game @ 7:05pm (vs. Oklahoma City) with a fireworks show to follow after dark (roughly 9:30)
*Fort Carson is hosting the Star Spangles Salute, which includes music, family activities, food, giveaways and fireworks show from 4-9:30 p.m.
*Meridian Ranch has an Independence Day Celebration with music by Velvet Rut, inflatable jumpers, golf games, face painting, vendors, train rides, 5-11 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
On July 4
*Memorial Park has their annual Fabulous Fourth with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic with music, bounce house, bungee trampoline, giant slide, obstacle course and mechanical bull. The concessions open at 5:30 p.m., the philharmonic plays at 7:30 p.m., and then fireworks at dusk.

The only fireworks display is at 9:35 p.m. in City Park on the 4th
But one other great event to check out the morning of July 4 is the FireKracker 5K from City Park to Sheldon Lake at 7:30 a.m.,

-check out Ralphie’s Independence Day Blast! The gates open at 8pm and the fireworks start just after dark (approx 9:40)
– Also, there is the Boulder Reservoir “Star Spangled Splash” begins with a 5K at 8 a.m., followed by a Sand Volleyball Tourney from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., along with beer gardens, food trucks and a disc jockey (DJ). Live music by Rob Drabkin and Big Otis Surf Club 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Family activities include paddleboards, sailing, canoe and kayak fun, hydro-bikes and more. Reservoir closes at 6 p.m. No fireworks.
